It's going to be a good day!

Winnie Pegg has gotten raves reviews, so I'm very happy about that.


I got an order for three Ludmilas, the Polish angel, so that's really good.


Add to that, today is the Daytona 500, and that adds up to a fantastic day.

Best Laid Plans

Well, I didn't get Ludmila, the Polish angel finished Tuesday like I planned.  I didn't get her finished Wednesday either.  I did however get her finished today, and here she is.

Now that Ludmila is finished and posted, I can start on what seems to be the most anticipated angel I've even done, my Canadian angel.  I'm a bit nervous that she will live up to everyones' expectations.  All I can do is make her, and hope for the best.

Good Morning!

We getting our taxes done today.  Hopefully we won't end up owing too much.  With Jimmy on unemployment, they haven't been taking out any taxes.  He did work a few days, and they did take taxes out of that income, but I don't know if it will be enough to keep us from owing anything.  Now that we have no income coming, since unemployment ran out the end of 2010, any money going out, is a bad thing.  I don't know what we would do if we didn't have some savings in the bank.

After taxes, it's off to shopping.

When we get back from shopping, I'm going to finish the Polish angel, get her photographed, and post her online.  Hopefully people will like her and want to order her.

Oh well, time to feed the cats, and get myself dressed.

I'm So Excited!

Besides Angharad selling, I have orders for 2 Canadian angels.  I haven't even debuted the Canadian angel, and people want her!  How cool is that?  I came up with a name for her yesterday, but I'm not going to reveal it until she makes her debut later this week.

Angharad is a hit.  In fact, a friend wants to order one.  Yay me!  (How pathetic am I?) 


I also want to take a moment to wish Peter Tork a happy 69th birthday.  I hope it's extra special Peter.

Angharad is a Welsh angel. She is named after the character from How Green Was My Valley, portrayed in the 1942 movie by Maureen O'Hara.

In Stitches Again

I'm back in "Angel Design Mode" again.  I've started on a Welsh angel. When she is done, I'm going to start on a Polish angel, and then a Canadian angel. I always get excited when I'm designing new angels.  I can't wait to see how they'll come out.

In Stitches

I'm taking a break from working on 2 new angels.  I've decided to make angels in the team colors for the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  I started the Packers one yesterday, and hope to have her finished by tonight.  I'll start the Pittsburgh one tomorrow.  I'll post them as soon as they're done.

Make it stop!

It's snowing, again.  They were predicting a storm to start today, but it wasn't supposed to start until the afternoon.  It started before 9 am!  Enough already!


Billie and I are supposed to go over to PetsMart today for our shift with the strays, but Billie called to say she's not coming.   I still have to go over to get cat food.


Jimmy has a doctor's appointment this morning, so I guess it's either wait for him to get back, or walk over and take the bus down, and wait down there for Jimmy to pick me up.  UGH!!!!

Baby It's Cold Outside

I hate winter!!  There, I said it.  This winter, it seems like we're having a snow storm a week.  It probably wouldn't be so bad if the temps would warm up a bit after each storm, but the cold air lingers, so none of the snow melts. We have snow in the snow piles left over from the December 26th blizzard! Cold I can handle.  Damp I can handle.  Cold and damp, I can't handle.  Is it Spring yet?  UGH!!

It's Wednesday!

That means it's the day to run errands with Billie before we go play with the kitties at PetsMart.  I love Wednesdays!

Shopping Day Ahead Of The Storm

It's supposed to snow, starting after midnight, and dump a foot to a foot and a half of snow on us.


Since Tuesday is our usual shopping day, and we were getting out early, we didn't anticipate any problems getting everything we needed, and fortunately, we were right.


There was plenty of milk, bread, and other essentials in stock at the 3 stores (Walmart, BJ's and Stop & Shop) that we went to.


 I'd hate to have to go out at around 8 or 9 and try to find anything.


Tomorrow, Billie and I are supposed to work our shift with the cats at PetsMart, but if the snow is bad, we're going to stay home.  We love the cats, but we're not going to risk our lives to get there.

Long time no see!

Wow!  It's been a very long time since I last posted.  A lot has happened since then.  I've created a page on Facebook to showcase my angel and bear designs, and I've even sold a few.  I've also designed a few new angels since Lass made her debut.  I'm really proud of all of them.

Movie Day!

I'm going to the movies today with my best friend Billie.  I can't even remember the last time I went to the movies.  We're going to see Red.  It should be really good.  It's got an amazing cast.  I'll give my review later.


For the third day in a row, the "hot water" is just slightly better than lukewarm.  UGH!


Annie and Nigel are already awake and playing tag.  They are so cute together.  I'm so glad that they chose us to come live with.

Another Busy Day Ahead

I always look forward to Wednesdays.  Wednesdays are my day to volunteer with S.T.A.R.T. II (Save The Animals rescue Team II), a local no kill animal rescue group.   Every Wednesday, my best friend Billie and I go to our local Petsmart, and work in the Pet Adoption Center, with the current cat residents.  We clean cages, give the cats fresh water, empty litter pans, and socialize (aka play) with the kitties.  It's impossible to have a rough day with a purring kitten or cat in your arms.


Wednesday is also the day when Billie and I run any errands that we didn't get done on our regular errands day.  This morning, we're going to have breakfast at our favorite diner.  The only thing better than a good breakfast, is not having to cook it yourself!


Speaking of breakfast, I'd better give Annie & Nigel theirs, or one of them will be stepping all over the keyboard to get my attention.
