I remember my Mother in Law was a night owl and said that was difficult. What she did was baby steps...not much different then what we used to do with our DD during the summer prior to school starting again to get her back on track. Your body gets in a rhythm. We'd start having her go to bed 20 minutes earlier, getting up 20 minutes earlier, then 30, gradually worked our way to 1.5 hours which typically was what she needed to adjust to the school schedule.
